Connect your AI assistant to Postfree
Postfree works with Claude, ChatGPT and any app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your assistant can see your channels and media library and schedule posts for you. It's included on every plan, including Free.
Claude
- Open Claude → Settings → Connectors. Find Postfree in the directory, or choose Add custom connector and paste
https://postfree.app/mcp. - Click Connect. A Postfree page opens: sign in (or create a free account), pick a workspace and click Allow.
- Start a chat and ask, for example, "List my Postfree channels".
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps and find Postfree. If you use developer mode, create a connector with the URL

Claude Code, Cursor and scripts

What your assistant can do

| list_media | Read | Videos and images in your media library. Filter "unused" finds clips you have not scheduled or posted yet. |

| import_media | Write | Downloads a public video or image URL (up to 512 MB) into your library. |
| create_post | Write | Schedules a post to one or more channels, publishes it now, or saves it as a draft. |
| cancel_post | Write | Deletes a draft or scheduled post that has not gone out. Published posts stay on the networks. |
Read tools only look. Write tools change your schedule or library, so Claude and ChatGPT ask you before running them unless you change that in their settings.
Things to ask
- “List my Postfree channels and my unused videos.”
- “Schedule my newest unused video to TikTok and YouTube tomorrow at 6pm with the caption "Night raid gone wrong #dayz".”
- “What did I post this week, and did anything fail?”
- “Cancel the post scheduled for Friday morning.”
Network rules
- TikTok: you choose who can see each post (public, friends, followers or only you). Your assistant will ask you; Postfree never picks it for you.
- YouTube: needs a video; the assistant can set the title (up to 100 characters).
- Character limits (X 280, Bluesky 300, Threads 500, Instagram and TikTok 2,200…) and your plan's limits apply exactly as in the app, and errors explain what to change.
Privacy and control
- An assistant gets access to one workspace, the one you pick when you click Allow, and only if you're an owner or admin there.
- It can't see your password, billing or your social accounts' login tokens.
- Postfree never receives your conversations, only the actions the assistant asks for.
- Disconnect any time in Settings → API & MCP → Connected apps; access stops immediately. Details in our privacy policy.
